Dr. Laura G. Pettler is an American forensic criminologist, author, and crime scene reconstruction specialist. Dr. Pettler holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in public safety specializing in criminal justice where she focused on forensic criminology and specifically on the study of intimate partner violence and crime scene staging behavior. She also completed a Master of Science degree in criminal justice with a focus on death investigation, forensic psychology, and aspects of forensic science, and a Bachelor of Science degree in preprofessional psychology. Dr. Pettler is accredited as an International Association for Identification (IAI) Certified Senior Crime Scene analyst, former chairwoman of the IAI’s Bloodstain Pattern Analysis Subcommittee, and current member of the IAI's crime scene subcommittee.
